Loved it! Hitchcock was coming into his own here. The inter titles are just as fascinating as the movie! The sensualness of the love scene between the two leads is on par with his scene from TO CATCH A THIEF with Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, many years later. Beautiful movie! 10 years 9 months ago

I've been watching all Hitchcock's silent movies, and The Lodger is by far the best of them. Although it is one of his first movies, and at least the very first one regarded as truly hitchcockean, it is brilliant. I'd dare to say he would take a few years to come back to such a level of awesomeness. 12 years 1 month ago
