   Larkspire

   At first, I wasn't impressed with the way the filmmakers ape German expressionism, but the special effects quickly become the star of the piece. The multiple exposures, especially, give the film a trembling, fragmented quality that reflects the disturbed minds of the Ushers. This has some of my favourite visuals of any film of its day. 9 years 7 months ago
