Would it be possible to order the official lists in the Progress section by when they were last updated?

(For that matter, would it be possible to do the same for the official lists in the lists section? I know that this section technically allows it, but the sort order does not appear to resemble when they were actually last updated, nonetheless.)

I have two suggestions regarding the design. The icons next to the checkbox on a movie page (but they also appear on lists): these icons are absolutely miniscule. Why do you insist on them being so very very small? These icons represent, in my opinion, fairly important and basic features. So I suggest giving them a proper size so they're more prominent. You can also add text labels under them that way. From a usability standpoint that probably works a bit better.

Another small thing: if I hover over any random icon, I see the title after a second or so, which is great. But if I hover over the icon to mark a movie as owned (which is a feature I cannot use, being a free user and all), there's a sort of custom title thing going on, which makes it a bit inconsistent compared to the other icons. I'd suggest making all the icons behave the same regarding these mouseover captions.

So is the awards competition aspect of the site done now?

That makes sense to "official" or collaborative lists, but the idea ( i assumed... ) was to be able to make personal lists ( even if they don't appear on the movie page) .For example : Best Movies of 2011.. i was eager to make that =(
Obviously I know that running a site brings costs, and i support premium users and etc.. but i wasn´t expecting list restrictions...

I am a free user but I support the claim that the premium pro users should have no restriction on both number of lists and number of entries in the list.

@spartacus007: Come visit us at the unofficial iCM forum where we've collected 1,153 (or more) professional lists (if I counted correctly) we wanted to add. They are quality lists that I'm sure everyone would like to see here. Here's the thread, see the spreadsheet.

whats really bothering me is the loading time of the Lists. For Example, if i want to see the list 'they shoot pictures dont they' it takes forever to load the list and then internet gets stuck, i have to close explorer and start all over. I have tried to watch this list several times now and it just doesn't work. The short ones, no problem, but the longer the list, the trickier it gets. I hope you can fix this.

@spartacus007: It's not about the money, it's just that other sites offer the same service for free so if ICM is going to charge money for adding lists, we should at least be free to add as many lists with as many movies as we like.

List limits force you put thought into it. Otherwise we'd have 100 "Personal Favorites" and "Anne Hathaway wearing red" lists to clutter the site up.

If you're an impoverished free member with 2 genuinely great list ideas, DM me and I'll spot you a euro.

@BillieDove: If he checked the "Save as minor edit" box when he edited the list, then you won't be able to see the previous version.

I suggest asking him if he saved a copy of the previous version.

Hey guys - one last thing (yeah, I say that a lot): Somebody made a personal list and then removed about 400 films from it to make it more convenient. Now, I liked the old version, and with my premium account I should be able to see the previous version, right? But when I click the "See previous version", I can only choose this exact time and place.

Is that a bug or is it something that happens on personal lists?

The new design changes don't bother me too much, actually I'm pretty much used to the changes already. What bothers me are the limitations set for even premium users. It's actually mind-boggling that these users who are paying for the ability to add lists are limited to how many lists they can add and how many films per list.

A user has made an amazing list here: http://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/the+guardians+1000+films+to+see+before+you+die

However, this list is missing a couple of films because of the limitations. I'm a free user, but if these limitations remain intact, I will most certainly never become a premium user.

I miss two things from the old format:

1: The old "movies being checked now" ticker.
It was a good reminder of movies I might have seen ages ago and hadn't yet checked, and there are a lot of those.

2: The bar chart graph-type view of others' profiles progress/lists.
This made it easy to see what list one had seen most/least of, and especially helped when comparing profiles.

Everything else is great, but maybe the most important thing to work on could be the search function (some films missing, most are not a problem though), which, I'm sure, is already being taken care of.

And I agree with Hema, the stars and crosses are better than the thumbs.

One small bug i noticed: Creators of groups are not listed as member of that group on their profile page. Just check my profile page as an example.
