I disagree with the suggestions to add character searches or book tabs. It's fine the way it is, let's not try to make the site too much like IMDb or something. I'm also hesitant about adding new official lists right away, but that would take too much energy to explain.
Finally, I agree about the prices for premium, and I also bemoan not having a "lifetime premium" option for a sense of finality. If the prices were a lot cheaper I would probably consider signing up.
Great work fixing the search, now I can actually find "The American" (2010 with Clooney) when searching for exactly those two words.
I would love to get all comments to always show up at the Info page without having to click anywhere else. I don't give a sh*t who has checked the movie, in fact, everything on the Info page below the actual movie info is useless to me.
Almost Perfection = to see just the movie info, Official Lists and all comments.
Total perfection = also see the cast listed and have the ability to click a name to search for the actors filmography. This would be seriously über and make for super easy movie checking.
Loving all the changes! Now the only thing I hope will be added soon is more official lists!!! Please start adopting the wonderful lists made by ICM users!!!
Great work, guys -- I've been a fan of pretty much all the changes so far! I do have to say, though, that I did greatly prefer the old font. The new one is pretty hard on my eyes. (I'm viewing the site with Firefox on a PC, if that makes a difference.)
Thanks BadSmile for point out the "progress" option. I feel a little better. But I still liked it at the bottom of every portion of the site. Made it feel very cozy.
No book category and no television category. This is supposed to be a movie website.
I too agree that the IMDB top 250 films should be above 1910. I understand that it's alphabetical but it seems out of place to all of the others. Put it back on top.
The new font looks great and the many other tweaks are nice. We really appreciate all the hard work you guys put in to this site.
@Life as Fiction - True, most film related books, perhaps all if you think about it, would fit in the critic tab. And it's not a really crowded tab either.
@Thorkell - I have so much respect for Kino. They are restoring and distributing films there's an incredibly small market for. Particularly in regard to silents, many of which we might not have had in any form if it wasn't for them. Books is an excellent tab idea as well. But the most needed tab is the country tab, as it's really hard to remember where each list is located, and hopefully we'll be getting even more official country related lists soon.
For simplicity I would love to have the progress block back on our dashboard. But I am ok with the extra click. But it was a lot easier when everything that mattered was on the dashboard.
"Book" seems unnecessary as a category. Books are either written by critics or compiled via websites, etc. Same goes for "Character," which Fritz below shows works fine with "Film Series."

it would be good a "publications" category for magazines and newspapers and maybe books not written by criticstomsalad

Thank you so much for fixing the searches. That was the worst of the site's problem. Before I couldn't even search for Heat (1995)!Dukefrukem

As I said before, I think in most cases film series should cover such lists.
