@Moirieke: A bit of a late answer here, but yeah, It's really an easy mistake to do, no trouble understanding that.
@beeswax: I'm guessing it's just a matter of a misplaced apostrophe, so "top list's" is actually meant to be "top lists' ", meaning "all of the top lists combined", not "a top list".
@sienel and @Kasparius: we would also like to see the 1001 movies list updated, but are time is precious (due to iCM 2.0). Any chance one of you guys could create an Excel sheet with all the movies in it? The movies would have to have the titles and the year of release (both as specified on IMDb), or their IMDb link. Thanks in advance.
I agree with Sienel, would love to see the 1001 movies list updated.
Also here is a list of the rejects from the five previous editions: http://www.listsofbests.com/list/31085-1001-movies-you-must-see-before-you-die-rejects?page=1
Maybe you could include these and the They Shoot Pictures Ex-top 1000 in a new blog post entitled "rejects update."
Congratulations on over 16000 users, I predict a bright future for this site.
@Uriloki: thanks! I didn't know. But they seemed the same to me, and also their picture is the same. I'm sure you understand that it's confusing for me?
Number 4 and 5 are the same in Doubling the Canon. That can't be right? Also: the first movie is not outlined right.
I like it that they are updated :D

@ErikSchierboomI don't suppose you have the current 5th edition list in that format :-)

re: 1001 Movies 6th editionHere's the publisher's page for the 2009 edition: http://www.octopusbooks.co.uk/books/general/9781844036806/1001-movies/
The index, listing all the films, is available at Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/1001-Movies-You-Must-Before/dp/1844036804/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1270644539&sr=1-1

Do you have a primary source for that? I can't find any info about a 6th edition other than a couple of blog posts.

And it's all back now somehow. False alarm...owliesomething
Is something wrong on my end, or have all lists disappeared? I keep getting 404s for everything.beeswax
I am feeling a bit dim. When talking about the rank calculations, the expression "Seen at least __% of the top list's movies" is used. What is "the top list"?
Uruloki
There are three Ningen no joken films, two from 1959. So no, number 4 and 5 are not the same.Kasparius
Thanks. I love updates.Moirieke
