@ ThyCaptain: I agree about the generally depressing state of IMDb affairs.
And they get extremely huffy about it when the hardcore users call them out on "errors in judgment." I'm not looking forward to this latest announced change with any pleasure.
Yeah, I can still see my Vote History through "My Movies", but for some reason I wasn't able to import until a few moments ago. Now it's working.
I also read that thread, and it seems that they are really thinking in giving up with the old vote history and My Movies. They say the new one will have the same functionalities, so hopefully they'll add the "public" box and the "show all" option. But imdb has a history in making bad decisions and getting worst after each update they make. I hope that’s not the case this time.
Are you part of some beta test group and they've already done this to your account?
There is an ongoing discussion of how this will affect My Movies users. The link below is to a comment by the founder of IMDb, claiming that he's one of the biggest fans of My Movies, and that the new system will have the same functionality. (We live in hope.)
Is it me or is imdb trying to screw you guys and all the other sites that use the imdb vote history? Now they changed the vote history system to "Your Ratings", there's no "public" box to check, and also no "show all" option. Since then I've not been able to import anything to iCheckMovies.
I completely agree with what is said below about directors. I think the lack of director search and movies-by-director lists is the most essential feature that is lacking on this (otherwise fantastic!) website at the moment. There's some directors for which I really would like to keep track off the number of their movies I've seen. They way I'd like to see that implemented is as follows: have an extra category tab "Directors" (next to IMDb, Critics, ...), where you can select your own favourite directors (have some directors pre-selected would be too subjective and biased). Of each of these directors you can then keep track of the percentage of their filmography that you've seen. That would be amazing! I hope you can add this feature soon.
First time I checked the site I felt the lack of director search so appalling I didn't come back for almost a year. Now I can't get out of here. I still miss the ability to search for all the movies by some directors, though.

@ ThyCaptain: I'm confused. I still see my "Vote History" (complete with check box to make it public or leave it private) under "My Movies."http://www.imdb.com/mymovies/list?votehistory
There are rumblings that the My Movies section is about to be morphed into something else.

Isn't that what the "personal lists" tab is going to be like in the fabled iCM 2.0?
Jumping Elephant
or cinematographer? i think if too many of these features get implemented, the site would become a little too much like IMDb. Just food for thought.czechchick5
How about searching movies by actors? =)Knaldskalle
To me, director lists would be ideal personal lists in v. 2.0, not the present incarnation of iCM.stijnvermeeren

Due to a small server problem, a lot of you lost your awards. Don't worry, they will come back automatically.antigone

Downtime have anything to do with loss of all awards?beeswax
All my awards are gone, and all of my messages are deleted (even though there's a little symbol telling me I have a new message). Is this a second round of "downtime"?

Hm, checked my 25th movie on the IMDB Western-list more than 24 hours ago. I wonder why I don't get the first award?lampadatriste
