This is good, especially because there's an option on ABP to "disable on icheckmovies.com". I'm blocking every ad but yours in support of you. And there is nothing wrong with blocking ads in general just because people make money off them. If people don't want a horrible experience online, then they block bothersome ads. Thankfully, the ones on this site are of the subtle kind.
I agree with StingRay, specially in regard to autoplay videos and Flash movies which can be really hateful when you have a 5+ years old laptop with a limited bandwidth.

There's nothing wrong with "cashing in" on the success of an idea. See Microsoft, Netflix, McDonalds, etc. So long as the ads aren't obtrusive (blocking significant portions of the screen), annoying (autoplay video w/audio, pop-ups/pop-unders), or misleading ("Take our free IQ test (results cost $9.95)!!!"), I'm all in favor of the move.

@n20300: No crap. Neither hosting a site nor developing one is free. One takes money, one takes time (which equals money). As a developer I can absolutely understand, appreciate and support their move.

@n20300 This isn't ridiculous at all. We didn't ask anyone to turn off their ad blocker, that's up to you. And we're not 'cashing up', we're just trying to relieve the burden on our servers and own wallets.
@hondito We understand your issue with the placements, they're not necessarily final, we're still in the experimental phase. But they have to be visible, since that's the only way they can ensure some income.
I don't mind the ads, if it keeps you guys around.
Although I do have a small issue with the placement. Is it possible to move them to the top of the page like most other sites with ad banners?
Having them right in the middle breaks up the flow of your awesome site and is quite annoying.
