Spam

As a lot of you have noticed, there has been a recent outbreak of spam messages. Just like any epidemic, it is vital to contain it as soon as possible. We thought hard about several solutions, but ended up with a very simple one: one can only send private messages to users that have accepted you as a friend. This is the same system used by Facebook and Twitter. We hope that you understand why we have taken this measure and perhaps this is a good time to make some new friends? ;)

edit: thanks to your awesome feedback, we have made a small change to how the system works. If you want to send a message to a non-friend user, you can now do that, but you have to verify a captcha. For friend users, you can leave the captcha text empty.
