British Film Institute's Top 50 Films for Children
Favs/dislikes: 23:1. “50 films you should see by the age of 14” is a list created by the British Film Institute in 2005 in order to inspire parents and educators to take movies as seriously as books and other kinds of art. It was created by more than 70 experts including film producers, teachers, authors and critics who all made their own top ten. -

FOK! Tournament Winners of Each Year
Favs/dislikes: 23:0. At the FOK! board we have a knock-out tournament for each year. These are the winners of these tournaments. The contestants of the tournaments since 2001 are films released in The Netherlands in that calendar year. For the older tournaments movies classified on IMDb-year. For the 1986 tournament both Platoon and Aliens won. Note that not all years have been held. We are still in progress. -

MovieMeter Top 1000 - 2021
Favs/dislikes: 23:0. From 2013 onwards, every two years users of the Dutch/Belgian website MovieMeter.nl send in a ranked list of their 250-500 favorite movies. There were 70 contributors this year and their lists led to this top 1000. All credits go to 2013's initiator The One Ring, 2015's organizer beavis and Film Pegasus who has taken on the ordeal from 2017 onwards. The presentation started June 7th 2021, with many titles being revealed each day until the list was finally complete, June 20th 2021. Notes: -I only included the first part of The Human Condition and Histoire(s) du cinéma. On Mubi they have 1 entry for the entire series. -The following films appear twice in the top 250, so I only included 1 of each: Fanny and Alexander and Scenes from a Marriage (theatrical and TV), The Decalogue (mini-series and episode 1), Tie Xi Qu (first 2 parts). To make up for this, I added 4 extra films at the bottom. -2 TV episodes made the top 250: Twin Peaks: Pilot and Sherlock: The Reichenbach Fall. -The list includes Science Is Fiction, which is a collection of 23 shorts. -
