Horror movies for young teens? I would suggest Jaws as I think it has a PG-13, and Poltergeist as I think that one has a PG rating. All the old classics from the golden age of horror might be big hits, like "Dracula", "King Kong", "Frankenstein" and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, but that depends on how well the teen can get into older movies.

Gremlins (Rated PG) could be a good choice. I also liked Cloverfield (PG-13), but I'm not sure if that's the kind of film you're looking for.
