100 Great Unofficial Checks
Favs/dislikes: 18:1. Films that I really like but are not (currently) found on any official ICM lists. NOTE: this list was made in 2012 and since then over half of the films have made it onto official lists. I've kept the list as it is, just to track if and when they all make it! -
1001 Movies Before You Die - 20th Century legacy version
Favs/dislikes: 3:0. Composite of past versions of 1001 Before You Die books, which only includes 20th Century films which have featured in any of the English editions (which neatly almost exactly adds up to 1001 titles). -
Antti Alanen's 1,100 Greatest Films
Favs/dislikes: 9:0. This list contains every title from Antti Alanen's book "Elokuvaopas - Pitkät elokuvat" (A movie guide - long movies), the year 2005 edition. The list is in alphabetical order as listed in the book. For film/TV series the book lists all the parts which are included as mentioned in the book. (added to IMDB by themagician) -
Arrow Academy Releases (UK)
Favs/dislikes: 15:1. All the films released on the Arrow Academy label in UK. Let me know if you spot any errors. Included the shorts from the Borowczyk collection as it was an individual release. Also included Il Tetto, which was a bonus feature on Miracle in Milan. IndieWire 2020 Year End Critics Poll - Top 50
Favs/dislikes: 9:0. The 2020 IndieWire Critics Poll included input from over 230 film reviewers from around the world. Critics from IndieWire, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and other major outlets voted for the year’s top films and performances alongside critics from local newspapers and websites, freelancers, and contributors on film from across Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. The end results were published earlier this month, with “Nomadland” claiming best film and Riz Ahmed in “Sound of Metal” taking the title for best performer of the year. Participants in the 2020 critics poll were only allowed to vote for films and performances in films that received theatrical or VOD releases in North America over the past calendar year. -

Sight and Sound Annual Best of the Year Polls
Favs/dislikes: 36:0. Sight & Sound publish a yearly top 10-20 compiled from assorted critics' lists. This list currently includes polls from every year since 2001 with exception of 2002 and 2004 (please send me a message if you have their lists from any other years). Sometimes the films don't match the IMDB years due to different release dates in UK, also the odd film repeats in subsequent years (I've only included the first instance). In case you're wondering, Apocalypse Now appeared in the 2001 list due to the Redux version being released that year.
