Australian Film Institute (AACTA) Award for Best Film

The AACTA Award for Best Film is an award presented by the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA), a non-profit organisation whose aim is to "to identify, award, promote and celebrate Australia's greatest achievements in film and television". From 1969-1975, the award was presented as a gold, silver, bronze or grand prix prize, or in some years, a cash prize. * The 'Michael' segment of Three to Go was the one given the award in 1970. * The Babadook and The Water Diviner both won the award in 2014. -
