  1. iCheckMovies - 1000 Most Disliked (Weighted)'s icon

iCheckMovies - 1000 Most Disliked (Weighted)

Favs/dislikes: 26:1. This is similar to the official Most Favorite list but counting dislikes instead of favorites. I will try to keep this list up to date. This is the weighted version (dislikes / checks + 50). There is also an unweighted version: http://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/icheckmovies+-+1000+most+disliked
  2. iCheckMovies - 1000 Most Favorite (Unweighted)'s icon

iCheckMovies - 1000 Most Favorite (Unweighted)

Favs/dislikes: 23:0. The top 1000 movies sorted by number of favorites but unlike the official list, NOT weighted by checks. So popular movies in a sense have an unfair advantage but this provides an interesting contrast against the list of most checked movies.
  3. iCheckMovies - 1000 Most Checked's icon

    iCheckMovies - 1000 Most Checked

Favs/dislikes: 20:0. This is the same as the official Most Checked list but extended out to the top 1000. I will try to keep this up to date.
  4. iCheckMovies - 1000 Most Polarizing's icon

    iCheckMovies - 1000 Most Polarizing

Favs/dislikes: 18:1. This list attempts to find the most polarizing movies, meaning the movies with a significant number of both favorites AND dislikes. It uses the formula abs(favorites - dislikes) / (checks + 50) after first filtering anything with less than 50 favorites and/or dislikes (that is dislikes + favorites < 50). I played around with several variations before settling on this formula but it is far from perfect. Please leave a suggestion in the comments if you think it can be improved. I will attempt to keep this list up to date.
  5. iCheckMovies - 1000 Most Disliked's icon

    iCheckMovies - 1000 Most Disliked

Favs/dislikes: 12:0. This is similar to the official Most Checked list but counting raw dislikes instead (not weighted by any factors). I will try to keep this list up to date.

  16. Rolling Stone Top 40 Sci-Fi Movies of the 21st Century's icon

Rolling Stone Top 40 Sci-Fi Movies of the 21st Century

Favs/dislikes: 2:0. Ask any science-fiction movie fanatic what their go-to films are, and you’ll get a lot of great answers back: Metropolis, Blade Runner, 2001, The Day the Earth Stood Still, the original Godzilla, The Thing etc. But let’s face it – those answers are so last century. Great sci-fi movies didn’t decide to party like it’s 1999 then call it a day; a host of thrilling, intelligent, offbeat, funny and frightening SF films have hit art houses and multiplexes since Y2K. In 2014, we concocted a list of the Best Sci-Fi Movies of the 21st Century — a quick and dirty survey of the best the genre has had to offer since the millennium’s beginning. More than a few major science-fiction flicks, however – from franchise-expanding blockbusters to arthouse headscratchers – have dropped since then, so it was time for an overhaul and an update. We’ve now expanded our list to 40 titles, to better highlight the best and brightest SF films of our still-new–ish millennium. Some noteworthy favorites of ours just barely missed the cut (very sorry, Alex Rivera’s Sleep Dealer) or some major titles were dinged on quality-control issues. (Avatar may have been a gamechanging film for 3D, but “unobtainium”? Really?!?) We’re confident, however, that there’s a place in the canon for these relative latecomers.
