Oscars I Need to Find

Favs/dislikes: 4:0. If you know where to find anything on this list please let me know. Thanks! 7/24/19 update: I've decided to start hunting down the nominees as well, since I've gotten as far as I can on the winners. Instead of making a separate list of all the nominees, I've updated this list to reflect it. 1-16 are winners, so, a higher priority to me, the rest are nominees. There are a few on here that I've been able to find, but, are included because I've only been able to find them at ridiculous prices (or bootleg dvd sites), or they are unsubbed. Also, if there are any nominees you need that are not in this list, feel free to contact me; that means I've been able to find it somewhere, and MAY be able to help you out. (In all likelihood yes, but, there's a few I can't.)

  19. The 200 Freshest Movies of the Last 20 Years's icon

The 200 Freshest Movies of the Last 20 Years

Favs/dislikes: 3:0. "Can you remember a time without Rotten Tomatoes? Those sightless days of people reaching out and bumping into movies at random, like wandering through a Blockbuster with all the lights off. Those were dark and undirected times. Since the launch of RT in August of 1998, though – the site went live on August 18 of that year – movie fans have had immediate access to the largest accumulation of film reviews ever, distilled for one purpose: to get you watching the best kind of movies you want to see. (Or if you only want to watch bad movies, the site can help you find those more quickly, too.) "As we mark our 20th birthday, we’re looking back on the past two decades with this guide to the 200 best-reviewed movies released since that fateful day in August of 1998. To keep the competition tight, we only included movies that had at least 80 reviews, the number at which wide-release movies qualify for Certified Fresh status; applying that rule, and limiting the total list to 200 titles, the lowest Tomatometer score you’ll find is 95%. The criteria also meant that no films from 1998 made the cut (Shakespeare in Love did come awfully close)." -List was released in August of 2018 -Unranked; listed chronologically

Academy Award Nominees for Live Action Short

Favs/dislikes: 2:0. From 1936 until 1956 there were two separate awards, "Best Short Subject, One-reel" and "Best Short Subject, Two-reel", referring to the running time of the short: a standard reel of film is 1000 feet, or about 11 minutes of run time. A third category "Best Short Subject, color" was used only for 1936 and 1937. From the initiation of short subject awards for 1932 until 1935 the terms were "Best Short Subject, comedy" and "Best Short Subject, novelty". These categories were merged starting with the 1957 awards, under the name "Short Subjects, Live Action Subjects", which was used until 1970. For the next three years after that, it was known as "Short Subjects, Live Action Films". The current name for the Academy Award for Live Action Short Film was introduced in 1974.
