IMO Slumdog Millionaire wasnt a OSCAR material. Thats probably coz I've seen hell lot of better Indian movies than this one. SM is nothing but a typical slum-hero-successfully-gets-his-girl-against-all-odds movie thats gets released here every month.
I can't wait for the new update at the end of the month. I also can't wait for the iCM "surprise", but I'm hoping that will be a separate list than this (and not an addition to this list); On the other hand, I hope that these films will not be present in the surprise (if indeed the surprise Erik is teasing us with is a list of Oscar BP noms); if these titles were also included on that list, it would seem a little redundant to me.
@ Jumping Elephant: Why would a separate list with all the nominees (including the winners) make this list redundant?
Lists do not have to be 100% exclusive. Just take a look at the Leonard Martin list. AFAIK every single entry can also be found on the TSPDT list. Does that make the LM list redundant?
@dAJaro: The movies which are on the Leonard Maltin list but are not on TSPDT are: The Freshman, Sons of the Desert, Swing Time, Dodsworth, Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, The Ox-Box Incident, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Mary Poppins, and Blazing Saddles.
Regardless, I've changed my mind. I now agree with you and naikou; I now think "I'd rather have the winners included on the nominees list" but I also would definitely like to have the BP list exist on its own.

Agree with disappearerImps
I'd say 50%(and then I feel I am being nice) of the movies aren't very worthy of winning their year by a longshot.roobin_22
@ImpsYou didn't even see 50% so how can you tell?
