In 2011 the members of the Criterionforum.org conducted a poll to determine the greatest movie musicals. Discussion was strongly encouraged - certain popular and critical favorites were attacked, while other overlooked and underrated titles were defended/championed. At the end of the discussion period, members were asked to submit a list of their 50 favorites and the results were then compiled to create this top 96.
