@cobac @BaalMan which (non-European) directors would you suggest? I miss Ildiko Enyedi and Samira Makhmalbaf, Claudia Llosa, Jiayin Liu, Ida Lupino, Larisa Shapitko. Have you noticed they left out Leni Riefenstahl? It's a bit a predictable list, but I've seen more Euro- or occidental-centered ones, to be honest. Not bad.
@Gilles Debil, i have no problem about been eurocentric, since most of the lists are american-centric.
You already named many directors who are in my mind. I'd add Kira Muratova, Naomi Kawase, Byambasuren Davaa, Suzana Amaral, Nadine Labaki, Paz Encina, María Victoria Menis and the europeans Margarethe von Trotta and Jasmila Zbanic
They are out while the list has "A League of Their Own' (#4 really?), Bend It Like Beckham and Frozen.
