The Sitges Film Festival (Catalan: Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya) is a Spanish genre film festival and is one of the most recognizable film festivals held in Europe.

Formerly known as the Maria Award, the Kong honours the best horror, fantasy, or science fiction film at the festival, as chosen by an international jury.
