Time out has just issued a very interesting list. it's not perfect but better than this one

Terrible list. It badly needs to be replaced by the Time Out Paris Top 100 from a few years ago.
http://www.timeout.com/paris/en/film/100-best-french-films
There are 112 films on this list because it includes the 8-part Histoire(s) du cinéma, the Three Colors trilogy, the Marsailles trilogy (Marius/Fanny/César), and the Jean de Florette + Manon des sources series.
A list so good they couldn't keep the source active.
Looking through the various reports on this list it seems like the film had to be on DVD as of 2005. It also seems like its just 10 groups of separate lists put together, which explains the odd ordering.
"It is not called The London Times, rather just, The Times."
@CharlesDicas: I am aware of that. I was trying to phrase a question clearly enough to be understood. (Notice I did not capitalize "The"? But thanks for going the extra distance to be patronizing.)
@MovieDearest: Thanks for the link.
@Admins: The title of this list should be "The Times' 100 Best...."

The series "Histoire(s) du cinéma" by Godard are a pain in the ass to watch in its entirety. So, good luck with that ...interpol28

I think Histoires du cinéma are considered Swiss, not FrenchChaz
