I'm probably going to be unpopular because of this, but I'm not sure I'd want to see Art of Vision, based on what I've seen of Brakhage so far (By Brakhage vol. 1 and part of vol. 2) - especially knowing that Art of Vision is 4 hours long.
I find his films to be visual assaults, and while that's momentarily interesting, it simply overwhelms me as a viewer after a short while and the films become reduced to something not unlike noise. Some of his films are worthwhile (I liked Mothlight and 23rd Psalm Branch, for instance), but most of what I've seen is more interesting as a discussion topic or philosophical musing than it is as film.
Having said that, I should also say that I'm not that big on avant-garde films in the first place, so take my opinion as just that, an opinion.
I retired from this list with 4 to go as could not find them cheap in one case, not easy in two cases -but will try again to see what I need to see when the new release comes!

I was secretly hoping that "The Art of Vision" will drop from this. But it's still out there for another year...and nowhere to be found...Cippenham
A small update, and of the new ones I have not seen I will be leaving the longest one to last, La Commune (Paris 1971) -345 minutes!Cippenham
Apparently the new version of this has been delayed but should still be released by the end of January, according to the source Web site.Scottathon
It sucks that there seems to be no way to see The Art of Vision unless you live in a big city.Cippenham
