Good film, but all the praise seems excessive. It's not very thought provoking, does not really challenge the actors' acting abilities, some scenes like the one when they first discuss the procedure with the guy in the hotel room, seem forced or unnatural. It does not make me feel sympathetic towards any of the characters. It's only the subject matter itself which makes for an interesting film, but to call it a masterpiece? I would recommend Lilja 4-ever (2002) instead.eoveikur

Truly disappointed. Some scenes seemed needlessly stretched and there were no remarkable/interesting plot developments to be found. Althought the realistic filmmaking may suit the heavy subject of the story, it also entailed that at no point in this movie I cared for the two protagonists (I mean, the soundtrack was John Cage's 4'33", right?).Although the movies aren't totally comparable subject-wise, I agree with TheMajor that Lilja 4-ever had a much greater impact on me.
