Good movie but the dumb ending, Totally Killer was a better movie overall, but this is still very enjoyable.
The fact that she stayed in the past instead of staying in the future makes no sense. She doesn't exist, she has no home, no social security, no birth certificate, no home, and no history of education. This would be true if she stayed in 2024, but she had the time machine and proof that she knew how to use the light bulb thing. She could have gone to her parents and with her sister explained what happened, showed the dad proof, and then worked at her dad's company researching time travel. Where is she going to live in the past, how will they explain her having no evidence of existing, who would she get a job, a driver's license, a bank account, etc... This was the only disappointing part of the movie.
I am glad Happy Death Day started this trend of Time Travel and X movie meets Horror as their are some fun films that have been made.
