Even though the first part has some seriously stereotypic patterns of opposition, it depicts beautifully the beauty of the kazakh's desert and his people.
The story about redemption in a bad and corrupted world, also seems a little bit deja-vu, but doesn't miss the point and I went from "meh" to almost tearful eyes in the end.
I should add it reminded me a lot of the early work of Kitano (Violent Cop - Sonatine) with maybe a different touch of simplicity. 3 years 7 months ago
