Treats sex like it's inherently stupid, and reduces all fetishes to cheap jokes, minimizing their eroticism and asserting that all people who buy into them are essentially retarded. I fucking hate this movie, and the damage it imposes on Waters' filmography as a whole is significant. This movie makes him feel like he's old and fucking out of it. IMO, pornography is the single most significant genre in the world of filmmaking, and A Dirty Shame treats it like it truly believes that it's trash.
