It's a fairly entertaining watch, but I'm rather underwhelmed.

The subject matter is great and would make for a good movie, but in my opinion, this is not that movie.

Even taking aside the (in this case tolarable) Indian patriotism, this is not a well written story. Most annoying for me are the lack of character development and a certain lack of obstacles.
In the setup the protagonist starts out as an asshole who doesn't care about others - good start. But as soon as the story kicks in a couple minutes later, he instantly transforms into the altruistic hero he remains for the rest of the film. And there are adverse events in the story, but the characters don't really resolve them, rather they are merely present as story plays out by itself.
It's a really interesting subject matter, but it seems as if the characters are themselves watching a weak adaptation of Hotel Rwanda take place around them. 4 years 5 months ago

I enjoyed this movie. Great characters, and a great story. Really took you to the conflict and felt the pain and struggle of the Indian people. Definitely recommend. 7 years 10 months ago

I would suggest other nationalities to also see this movie, It is not one of those movies which get high rating due to "IMDb's Indian mafia" 8 years ago
