Long but very well done. It'll mean more to the average non-Romanian if you know a little about the timeline (post-war to 1990s) before you watch it. There is no voice-over commentary or explanation, although all signs and words not in English are subtitled. All the "biggies" of the time are there: Nixon, Carter, Dubcek, Brezhnev, Gorbachov, the Queen ... the list goes on. What is most remarkable is how the Romanian people hero-worshipped him for most of the time, before wife-assisted dictatorial megalomania set in.
