No. No, it does not. Ironically, the movie is too long; the dreadful finale and the glurgy wartime propaganda with the British refugee kids could easily have been ditched. Also, Mickey Rooney is manic here even by his standards. That said, the ol' Mickey & Judy magic shines in earlier musical moments such as "How About You," "Hoe Down," and, in particular, a medley where the two stars impersonate a handful of real-life vaudeville performers. 1 year 5 months ago
