The dialogue may be poor, and plot weak, but this must be one of the most beautiful animated films I have seen. Fantastic atmosphere and attention to detail.
Ending the cycle of Disney films unhampered by the World War II with this final masterpiece. It would be another eight years before Disney had the resources to try something at the level of craft on display here. To be completely honest though, I don’t think the Disney company would ever reach the heights of these first five animated features ever again.
