i think all the hate this film gets is unfair. it's obviously meant for kids, and i remember loving this as a kid, a lot more than any of Tim Burton's ones. Tbh, I still love it, the real failure is Batman & Robin, and even that one is acceptable if you're a fan of over the top cheesy.
Jim Carrey is fun as the Riddler, but Tommy Lee Jones is dead weight as Two-Face. That plus some nipply bat-suits, a lot of noise and flashing lights, and a stupid plot make it fail.
Why this movie is bad: Joel Schumacher uses this movie to warm up to all the miserable misery he is about to put us all through two years later in Batman & Robin.
It has its moments, though. It doesn't make you wanna gouge your eyeballs out to recieve a skullf*ck. Just drip your eyes with acid. Green acid.
Oh yeah, Nicole Kidman is hot.
the cast here was still way better than in batman and robin.
i really like the danny elfman theme, doubtless THE batman theme, but i like the elliot goldenthal version also very much
Amazing and cool production design that's very cool and has great feel, really inspired me as a kid. The rest is too mawkish and ridiculous. OTT acting.
