Another 'forgotten' but truly fascinating pre-code film, dealing with people living on the dangerous, but oh so thrilling side of life. Basically the only morality presented here is honor among thieves, but apart from that everybody has really one interest only: Their own.
Women are slapped around, and nobody seems to really be bothered by it. In fact, there's one girl in particular who is sexually aroused by the idea of being abused, a concept that is rather shockingly played out in the finale.
