Despite boasting an impressive cast and lavish production values this was fundamentally misconceived. The primary culprit seems to be a disastrous script that lacks just about any funny jokes and fails to generate sympathy for the titular duo, who remain absolutely loathsome throughout. Filled with endless cameos in the desperate hope that just seeing the face of Stephen Merchant or somebody will be enough to raise a laugh. 10 years 2 months ago -

Frankly disappointing. How did Landis manage to spoil a comedy with such a perfect cast (I mean, look at the names! Half of the cast of Spaced and Black Books!) I really have no idea. It's not that it's bad per se, it has a few laughs and the plot keeps you going but I really expected something way way better. 12 years 3 months ago -
