A brilliant documentary that makes Piketty's book more digestible, but also more vital perhaps. This film really does explain the world.

This documentary feels made with all the standard tricks in the documentary filmmakers field manual, and thus brings nothing new other then the points made by Piketty, and other like-minded intellectuals, which in themselves are enough to watch it. Especially the parallels to 18th century autocracies and generation-heritage and where it can lead, are easy to imagine.
And there are a lot of film references in the editing, so that's always something.

Pretty shots and a halfassed critique of Capitalism for an intellectually lazy middle class. I've seen videos on YouTube, on the very top layer of the conspiracy theory rabbit hole, that do a better job at critiquing -- and exposing the flaws of -- Capitalism, Aristocracy and Big Banking.
