What a thoroughly enjoyable movie even with the missing Technicolor sequences! Marie Dressler steals every scene. Her drunk scene in the dressing room is hilarious. This is the first time I recall ever seeing Bessie Love act and I was blown away by her sincerity and perkiness. Everyone in this movie seemed relaxed, confident and as though they were all enjoying themselves. It really carried over to the screen. It's a shame the best musical numbers are missing as they could only add to the total enjoyment of this marvelous movie. 9 years 7 months ago
