I think it's a lovely comedy with a lot of heart and humor and funny scenes as well as touching ones (and, as it seems, actors who had fun shooting it).
BUT what probably fascinated me most about it was the excellent illustration of how people turn against you or pressure you if you ignore certain traditions or act against everyone's expectations. I think - although it was of course exaggerated and shown in a funny way in the movie - that there is a lot of truth in this. People may "accept" you and make you think you are the sole decider of how you want to live your life - but especially in villages or smaller towns / communities there is a number of things people expect of you although it's really none of their business. I've come across and heard of a lot of that in real life and I am grateful that my particular environment does NOT treat me like that; so it was just very funny and interesting to watch. 10 years 7 months ago -
