It's certainly among the best gialli, rivaling even those by Argento, Fulci & Bava. Pushes the extremes of the genre, particularly in the savage method of murder, though the killer (and their motive) is surprisingly sympathetic. Great music + lots of gratuitous naked schoolgirl frolicking. 13 years 2 months ago

Occasionally effective, though more often structurally clunky in that unique giallo way. Still, fairly watchable procedural slasher. A modern remake would do well to not redeem and enable Rosseni (which is where I thought the movie was going).

Highlight for me was the stylish opening with the Morricone soundtrack and the girls riding by on bikes with the red filter. Peter Strickland definitely pays homage in his crawl for Duke of Burgundy. Note to everyone: watch Duke of Burgundy.
