An aggravating film to win a Best Picture oscar, but an interesting one from time to time. There are moments of greatness in this film, but for the most part, Crash is somehow less than the sum of its parts.Shidan
I was trying to watch CRASH (David Cronenberg) and found this shitty movie, wasted time.Prof. Lumpcicle
One of the worst 'best picture' winners that I've seen.CinemaCraver
Personally I found it borderline racist that failed to explain the divide effectively. Instead it chooses to show all of the characters have a trace of racist thought or being affected by it without addressing this issue. Some of the scenes were laughable and were beyond character clichés. Also I instantly lost respect for the film with its portrayal of the 'white' saviours e.g burning car scene or the chase.

Totally overrated!CrumbThumber
I think more interesting than the movie itself is the extreme opinions on it. I can't think of a movie that has such a duality when it comes to like and dislike. I find it fascinating.Jook
What a piece of shit.Duke of Omnium
I think a lot of the hate for this movie comes from the fact that it beat Brokeback Mountain for Best Picture. It's very derivative of Altman's Short Cuts, but Crash is a lesser film. In trying to be profound, it comes off as pat and trite.sebby
When I walked out of the theater 7 years ago, this was the worst movie I'd ever seen. Over 1000 films watched since then and it's still the worst. I'm getting infuriated now just thinking about this contrived piece of junk.Jonathan_Hutchings
People understand the nature of the film (how can you not, Haggis beats you over the head with it), it's just that Crash is a derivative piece of crap that features the most glossy portrayal of racism ever. It's almost insulting.Want to watch a film that actually has something to say about racism? Check out Spike Lee or Charles Burnett. Not Haggis.
The fact that it won Best Picture is a travesty. What a pile of garbage.
