An excellent ensemble cast in a study of racial prejudice. Yes, the set-up is a little strained, but the points made are never dull and the characters at once engaging and repulsive.
Evidently the movie that makes you seem like a super cool movie lover if you hate it. Keep the hate flowing, first year film students! The rest of us will simply enjoy the picture.
Personally I found it borderline racist that failed to explain the divide effectively. Instead it chooses to show all of the characters have a trace of racist thought or being affected by it without addressing this issue.
Some of the scenes were laughable and were beyond character clichés. Also I instantly lost respect for the film with its portrayal of the 'white' saviours e.g burning car scene or the chase.
Still can't believe this won instead of Brokeback Mountain. A fucking Abomination this is. This film portrays racism in the worst way possible. So much exaggeration, and believing otherwise is naive.
It's CRAZY how overrated it is. I really truly hate this film.
Im quiet sure this movie its gonna give a positive impact on people that has been discriminated like they show in here, and to people that discriminate like this and can actually question themself for their acts. Or people that have seen situation like this and feel that this movie it's gonna help reducing this issue
In my case, It's totally the opposite. For me it was full of "cliche" and showed me that the american society really has a big big issue to resolve.
The movie is totally overrated, it doesn't keep anything to the imagination, or puzzle to resolve, it's mostly plain text and discrimination images from different perspectives
The only positive thing it's that, showing you many scenarios, probably many people actually can start question their acts. It's a movie that to many people it's gonna make them feel inconsistent and hope that is going to make them change.
I think the movie was great but the song and music were awesome.the music has a character for itself.
very strong and impressive character....
I like it so much.
Good movie, with some great scenes, but others scenes that just no make sense
keep thinking that Brokeback Mountain should had won the academy award for best movie
3.5/5

There was not a SECOND I liked about this movie. None. It was infuriating to watch, I couldn't relate to any of the characters, and was overall weak.nicolaskrizan
