If you look past the crappy effects, it's actually a really good movie. I enjoyed it. 11 years 1 month ago -

I liked this part of Cube trilogy.
It's based on Physics. And sometimes is more scary than the original Cube.
But yeah, original Cube has it's charm! 12 years 4 months ago -

I found this movie so extremely over-the-top that I just couldn't enjoy it. Contrary to the first Cube, this movie sets so many room possibilities inside the Cube - over 6 millions (???) or sth - that you're not shown, that is ridiculous seeing how the characters and their situations repeat themselves as if there were like just 20 possible scenarios. I'm no Stephen Hawkings, but I can call bullshit when I see it. Also the exposition dialogue is a master class on awkwardness, e.g. see the tesserac part, EVERYTHING old lady related, and the woman speaking to herself at the end. It's almost like watching a 50's sci-fi in the 2000's. The "twist"
If there's one thing redeemable about the movie is the FX, really. You know you'll see that used ironically in self-aware millenial cinema in 15, 20 or so years, and it'll be funny. Or probably not. is fucking lame and as mind-blowing as a creepypasta with "and then a skeleton popped out" as a last sentence. Jesus fuck, at least the original Cube could built a neat fiction by keeping a "simple" plot.7 years 10 months ago
