Slow start in this very American story that might be both unrealistic and difficult to take seriously. Could that really happen in any other country? On the other hand, Kevin Bacon does a good job in portraying the tormented family man in all the impossible situations he encounters. You probably think, yeah, it could go down like that.
As a revenge movie, it both delivers and fails simultaneously. The story is mainly tragic and unforgiving. There are no winners and there is no happy ending. In that regard, it's a very un-American story.

Very standard movie, revenge on solo from a man who nothing will stop it, sounds really familiar.
