I've now seen the 2017 nominees for Best Live Action Short, and this would be my vote if I were in the Academy.
The drama here is STUNNINGLY directed. It genuinely feels like we are there. The way the actors move around in space makes you feel so on edge and uncomfortable. There are even a couple times when nothing is happening, and it is still enthralling.
The receptionist is amazing, and the end made me cry. That's remarkable for only a 20 minute short. 6 years 2 months ago -
