Of course Hitler et al's final days are fascinating, but the film relies rather too heavy on this rather than any cinematic/dialogue merit of its own. And it has the usual plague of awful film music. Very good acting though.

my definite favourite. the last days of him were intresting. An empire falls , they just dance , cheer then commit suicide.

It was very good, but in my opinion slightly overrated.

Very interesting, especially since we got a very new perspective (the officers of the Third Reich), but for me it was too long. Dramas don't need to be 2.5 hours to tell a story.
Also, there is one long tone to the movie.
Fascinating and definitely walked out with a lot of thoughts, but not an entertaining film by any means.

Bruno Ganz was a very convincing Adolf Hitler! Harfouch as Mrs Goebbels left on me a remarkable impression especially the suicide scene. I thought about it for days.

I certainly would never list this movie as a "favorite" as I can't see myself watching it a second time, but it held my attention and was very well done. Definitely recommended.

@Paperback-Writer: About the "one long tone", that's something I totally agree with. I can't stand movies that are absolutely nothing but doom and gloom for their entire run-time. I'm not saying there should have been a scene where Hitler and Eva dance to a Chuck Berry song, but at least provide something lighter that makes the heavy stuff seem heavier and the story more human.

After a while, it did lose it's credibility and just become very boring. Just a little long where they could've cut a few things out.

Incredible film. Ganz is peerless in portraying Hitler as the man behind der Führer.
