I liked this movie a lot but it's on 57 IMDb's Top 250?! 8.5? REALLY? Films rated worst than Django:
Taxi Driver, Aliens, Gladiator, Lawrence Of The Arabia, A Clockwork Orange, The Lion King, Requiem For A Dream, Full Metal Jacket, Chinatown, Metropolis, Amadeus, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, Scarface, Gran Torino... And I could have gone on and on, know what I mean?

Loved the dialogue, loved the action scenes, loved the comedy, loved the cinematography (as I all do with previous Tarantino films); but damn, that was a slow-moving film - really a downer for me.

I loved this movie, great action scenes, good acting, especially Waltz and Di Caprio, but maybe it was too long. It should finish in the shootout between Django and the Calvin's workers.

This film should be 78 minutes long... Tarantino"s getting worse and worse...

In contrast with Tezelians opinion, I think the rap music was a nice touch. It was meant to look like a joke.
Though in overal I found this movie a bit to long, yet some parts were quite awesome.

I was really into the first hour, but it didn't sustain for the last two thirds.. Christoph Waltz was amazing, and DiCaprio was as good as usual..

Tarantino never disappoints. I love his mix of the modern and the classic. He may be crazy, but he knows how to make masterpieces. Acting was utterly phenomenal. I was so happy to see Leo actually playing a bad guy for once. Christoph Waltz, there are no words to describe his talent. And Jamie Foxx, I was not disappointed with surprisingly. Amazing story, gruesome yet amazingly entertaining because of it.

An interesting but unfortunately long contemplation on the N-word, slavery, revenge, bravery, murder, and man's inhumanity toward man.

Not without some strangely well-placed humour too, but Django Unchained is far from "off the hook". It's final act is a labourious structure that falls out from what should be the film's climax.

Excellent performances by Watz, DeCaprio, L. Jackson and even Tarentino in a cameo appearance. Foxx makes due with the sparse, stylistics-heavy dialogue, but the film is at its best when Waltz is on screen.

Better than the pointless "Inglorious Basterds", not as fun as "Kill Bill", but a solid middle ground between the two.

Hard to give it a better endorsement than dustinjt there. Tarantino killed it again.

After several years and several rewatches, I realized this is one of my favorite movies. Tarantino and his crew made a wonderful and enjoyable movie.

This holds up better than I remembered and is really only let down when Tarantino indulges in references and in-jokes. As always Tarantino is at his best when he plays it straight, or if not straight then working in service of the narrative rather than winking at the audience. Because he is undoubtably a master filmmaker when he’s not being self indulgent, capable of bringing more joy to an audience than virtually any other filmmaker working today. With Django he works very well with the troopers off the genre, always making sure to exceed them as with his never-more-violent shootouts.
