I absolutely loved this movie! It was everything I wished it would be both visually, tone plot-wise. Benedict Cumberbatch is fantastic as strange, the cast is great and the comedy is spot on and tasteful. Also, what a subtle, not in-your-face set up for infinity wars!
Not to mention, a wonderful climax that is different and refreshing.
Entertaining piece of shit. I guess it's somewhere between Shyamalan's avatar, Grey's anatomy and Inception (somewhere...).
The jokes are lazy and predictable, I've never sat in a cinema with so much forced laughter and so many painful snorts. The plot, gneee... what was it about? the characters, flat, weird dialogues, not very credible. Although, Ben Carson proved that a neurosurgeon can believe in the biggest bullshit stories...
Mesmerizing visuals though, although really kitsch. I still think my childhood kaleidoscope is more interesting then what I saw in this movie.
And what a waste to see good actors like Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen and that guy with the cucumber name I always forget make themselves absolutely ridiculous.
Don't waste your money on this, or get high before you watch it and let me know how it is after that.
Loved it.! Visuals are breath-taking.. the plot was pretty tight, and Mr. Cumberbatch of course, makes a brilliant magician. Having the entire screening room to ourselves while watching it was pretty special too. No distractions. :D
Just saw it in the theater yesterday. In 3D. I'm usually not a fan of 3D (understatement), but I have to say; if you plan on seeing Doctor Strange, do so in IMAX or 3D. Absolutely stunning special effects - fan or not, do yourself a favor. Wow.
The plot's very familiar from every other superhero origin movie, but that's only a problem if you think movies are only about the plot. The visuals are stunning, creating genuine big-screen spectacle in an era when unlimited CGI seemed to have stopped that being possible.
I am trying to come up with a better term, but so far I just have complete and utter Hollywood mediocrity and pandering to the basics. I'll be repeating this quite a bit now with so many tentpoles coming out.

Strong, creative visuals and a supremely talented cast carry a entire lack of substantive plot.Rating: A-

Marvel's visual ode to Christopher Nolan starring Yankee Sherlock with a Petyr Baelish aesthetic.Great cinema? Probs not. Good fun? Absolutely.
