Original transmission videotape survived 2 years 1 month before being wiped by BBC on 17th August 1967.
Episode returned to BBC from Nigeria via Ian Levine in January 1985. Later found to be missing 2.5 minutes of footage due to censorship cuts originating in New Zealand.
Ian Levine also held an uncut copy obtained via Ian Sheward, originally found in 1981 but not returned to the BBC until 1992. 9 years 3 months ago
