   I think the Manakis deserve as much attention as the Lumieres and the Edison Company directors, at times even more, if only for that sheer reflection of "slices of life", neorealistically captured instead of stagey movements like some of Dickson's films.
   
   Angelopoulos' Ulysses film also deals with the brothers' filmography, being the major plotline of the film and frankly, it's one of the sincerest homages to silent directors I've ever watched.
   
   I'd really wish for more available films of theirs, including those official checks of the UNESCO list. 11 years ago
