fransisco4, you are like the Rotten Tomatoes critics who ruined the 100% for The Godfather Part II, L.A Confidential and Taxi Driver. You are a stupid fuck.diegoivan
You are the stupid who doesn't like this masterpiecefransisco4
You both look very stupid now.grit
I must agree with those who tell francisco4 he is stupid if he only did it to make other people look stupid by disliking it. However, rotten tomato critics who "ruined" the 100% for movies listed are not at all stupid fucks, they just have opinions on movies that are not compatible with the majority of people! On topic, this movie is pretty awesome!

Took me a bit to adjust my ears to the phony dialogue, but by the end of the film I was completely engrossed.meysam_a

Double Indemnity has such a reputation, I was sure it was one of Hitchcock's. But Billy Wilder isn't exactly the B-team. One of Film Noir's best known accomplishments, the film concerns an insurance scam that hinges on committing the perfect murder. It all seems to work out well enough for the malefactors played by Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck, until Edward G. Robinson's Columbo-like claims investigator (particularly great) starts getting a feeling in the pit of his stomach. From there, panic sets in and our leads are going to start making mistakes, potentially fatal ones, in stark contrast to how precise their original plan was. As the niggling details start to mount, so does the tension and the mistrust. Goes to show you can do perfect Noir without putting a private eye at the center of it. Who knew the world of insurance could be this exciting, or attract its share of femme fatales?kellilee
Film noir at its finest. The dialogue is fantastic and clearly defines the genre.Dieguito
