Leslie pwns hard, hilarious. Heavy on the cheese as always, with plenty of brilliant Dracula related puns. 12 years 8 months ago -

Mel Brooks's films aren't always laugh-out-loud funny, but they usually make you chuckle or at least smile to yourself. Unfortunately, all of the attempts at humour in his Dracula spoof aren't even clever enough to elicit a groan at their cheesiness. There's a noticeable amateur and lazy quality to this film, and I struggled to identify the target audience: at times, it seemed like one of those abridged illustrated classic novels rewritten for primary school children, intended less as a satire than as a simple introduction to the Dracula story, but then there were all the awkward and painfully unfunny sexual jokes peppered throughout...
Dracula: Dead and Loving It is simply what happens when a filmmaker has run out of ideas—not a swan song but a nail in the coffin of Brooks's career. Don't waste your time. 1 year 6 months ago -
