Weak effort, wasting huge potential. Brendan Fraser is great, rest of the cast sleepwalks it home. Soundtrack filled with crap.

The script was decent even in its unavoidable transparency, but too many of the excellent details are lost in the rushed pace. Yet another example of an animated feature that thinks kids today needs everything served in hyper speed and hammered in with the subtlety of a jackhammer.

Animation is very good, especially considering Rainmaker Entertainment's earlier works (mainly the horrible Barbie animated movies). Looks good for the upcoming Ratchet & Clank movie.

Barely recommended. Worth taking a look to check out a new contender in the animated feature film arena. 10 years 10 months ago

There's something about 3D computer animated films about space and/or aliens that are always terrible (except WALL-E, but that had more to do with robots and the Earth than its space setting). This movie isn't quite as bad as say, Space Chimps or Planet 51, but it could have been better. The soundtrack was really awful. The characters aren't so bad and the family message was sweet, but there was so much more they could have done with this movie. 10 years 9 months ago
