   I used to work at DisneyWorld so I feel like that bias will work its way into my review somewhere. If it weren't for the vulgar parts I think it would be much more of an accomplishment but they weigh the piece down and at some points seemed like a cop out to either eat up time or to give skeptical audience members something to watch if they didn't buy into the project. The fact that it is almost entirely filmed on Disney property is amazing and I had hundreds of questions as to how it was filmed after watching (with only a few answered by reading the trivia behind the production). Parts of it seem so authentic and I have to keep reminding myself that the guests surrounding the actors are real people unknowingly being filmed. If nothing else, it's a wicked piece of pure guerilla filmmaking. 9 years 2 months ago

   Escape From Tomorrow is one of those films where the making of is more interesting than the film itself. Yes its true, the movie was shot secretly on location at Disney World & Disneyland without permission, and yes... that is very impressive! The movie itself though... kind of a mess. It has some interesting ideas and ambitions but it's so haphazardly executed that it feels like a missed opportunity. The characters are neither interesting or likable, the performances come off as amateur (given the way in which the movie was made that makes sense... but still), and the script is clunky, pretentious, and shallow. With such an interesting concept and filming method, this is a film I really wanted to like, but it ultimately comes up short. Not recommended. 7 years 1 month ago
