The movie works, despite it's ridiculous setting. This is largely thanks to a splendid performance by Will Ferrell as the nearly defeated and utterly subdued man.
IMDb is stupid and calls this a comedy. If it even qualifies as a comedy then it's the most low key, mellow and chilled out comedy style you could possibly imagine. It's a very delicate and tender movie, quite pleasant and worth saving for a rainy day with nothing else to do than snuggle up with your girl and take it easy with a relaxing movie. 12 years 7 months ago -

I thought this movie was very funny and poignant. Will Ferrell's comedic genius was encapsulated perfectly in Anchorman, but good dramatic performances like this will stop people from criticizing him of rehashing Ron Burgundy again and again. Everything Must Go is the type of movie that be unknown to must and a hidden gem to a few. I'm thankfully one of the few. 12 years 7 months ago
